Peer Review Policy

1. Introduction

The Center for Management Science Research (CMSR) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic excellence and rigor in its research. To achieve this, CMSR employs a rigorous peer-review process for all research outputs, including journal articles, working papers, and conference proceedings. This policy outlines the principles and procedures governing peer review at CMSR.

2. Objectives of Peer Review

The primary objectives of peer review at CMSR are:

  • To ensure the originality, scientific merit, and methodological soundness of research.
  • To provide constructive feedback to researchers for improving the quality of their work.
  • To maintain the high standards of academic publications and presentations associated with CMSR.

3. Types of Peer Review

CMSR utilizes a double-blind peer-review process for most research outputs. This means that the identities of both the reviewers and the authors are kept anonymous throughout the review process. In some cases, single-blind review may be used, where the reviewers are anonymous but the authors are not. The decision on the type of review to be used will be made by the Editorial Board based on the specific circumstances of each submission.

4. Selection of Reviewers

Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the relevant research area. CMSR maintains a pool of qualified reviewers with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. The Editorial Board will select reviewers for each submission based on their expertise and availability.

5. Review Process

  • Authors submit their research outputs electronically through the CMSR submission portal.
  • The Editorial Board assigns each submission to two or more qualified reviewers.
  • Reviewers are provided with clear guidelines for evaluating the research outputs, including criteria such as originality, methodology, significance, and clarity.
  • Reviewers submit their written evaluations to the Editorial Board within a specified timeframe.
  • The Editorial Board considers the reviewers' evaluations and makes a final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the research output.
  • Authors are informed of the decision and provided with the reviewers' feedback, whether the submission is accepted or rejected.

6. Confidentiality

All information submitted to CMSR for review, including the research outputs, reviewer evaluations, and author identities, is kept confidential. Reviewers are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of all information they receive during the review process.
